    Hobbies, activities and entertainments daily
3 excellent meals a day, freshly cooked by our chef

We look beyond age and see a Lifetime of experience, knowledge and memories which can be cherished and shared within the community of  lifecare. At lifecare we have the experience and training to know how to respond with emphasy and are able to help our residents feel at ease, whilst gently stimulating thought processes with dedicated activities and a broad range of resources.

We consider it a privilege to share memories, experiences and stories we hear about life sometimes fifty or sixty years ago, often with amazing clarity like it was yesterday. We provide gentle prompts to help with short term memory loss and assist with re-making connections.

Personal care  is care that is provided by trained carers. Personal care is designed for those who need assistance with what we call the activities of daily living; for example washing, dressing, eating and mobility. We provided personal and nursing care on a 24hours basis.

During a person stay we will ensure that they receive person centred care that is designed to meet all of their needs and not just the condition that they are currently being treated for.

We will work closely with the community team to provide occupational therapy, physiotherapy etc as assessed as being required.

We believe that such an alternative to hospital admission or prolonged hospital stays in a homely environment aids recovery and enables people to remain independent.

Hospitality Services

Life care  is committed to ensuring that each of our residents receives first class hospitality above and beyond the traditional expectation of a ‘care home’. Our homes employ people who have the right caring attitude, who work with the care teams and residents to deliver  high standard of care  that not only meet  the  requirements, but also provide outstanding choice, dignity, freedom of choice and independence.

Very special consideration is given to the dietary requirements of residents. Meals are carefully prepared to ensure they support hydration and those residents who may not be able to eat a main meal are supported to eat little and often throughout the day.
